Johnny Reid finds 'Love' at No. 1

Country star Johnny Reid is feeling the love from Canadian music fans this week.

His brand new album, "A Place Called Love," entered in at No. 1 this week, racking up 31,000 copies, according data compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.

It easily surpassed the sales of his last disc, "Dance With Me," which came in at No. 3 with sales of 13,000 copies in March of last year.

The timing of Reid's chart success is perfect -- he's up for five Canadian Country Music Awards, which are handed out on Sept. 12 at Edmonton's Rexall Centre.

Disturbed's "Asylum" (18,000) also had a hot first week, coming in at No. 2, while Katy Perry's chart dominance didn't last long, with "Teenage Dream" (14,000) sliding down from No. 1 to No. 3.

Eminem's "Recovery" slipped two positions to No. 4, Arcade Fire's critically-acclaimed "The Suburbs" moved down one to No. 5, and the French compilation "12 Hommes Rapailles" checked in at No. 6.

Rounding out the top 10 was Justin Bieber's "My World 2.0" at No. 7, Iron Maiden's "Final Frontier" at No. 8, Disney's "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" at No 9, and Ke$ha's "Animal" at No. 10.

In the U.S., Godsmack came in first with 179,000 in sales, followed by "NOW 35" in second, Eminem in third, Katy Perry in fourth, and Fantasia's "Back to Me" in fifth.
