Simpson unveils ‘Price of Beauty’
By BILL HARRIS – QMI Agency

Jessica Simpson. (WENN.COM)

PASADENA, Calif. — Jessica Simpson doesn’t see the irony.

Simpson made an appearance at the Television Critics Association tour on Friday to promote her TV series The Price of Beauty, which debuts in March on

the U.S. cable station VH1.

In the series, Simpson travels the world to study what beauty means in different cultures, with the message that beauty often comes from within.

That’s a fine message, but doesn’t Simpson see the irony in the fact that her own good looks obviously helped her get famous, and otherwise she might not be in this position to spread the message that beauty comes from within?

“I don’t find that ironic,” Simpson said. “I never thought I got famous for my looks.

“I got signed to a record deal when I was 17 years old. I don’t think they signed me for what I looked like. I hope they signed me for my voice.”
