Album Review: SLIPKNOT

SELF-TITLED
By MIKE ROSS

SLIPKNOT
Self-titled
(Attic)

This band of evil clowns doesn't so much mix hip-hop with their nihilistic speed-metal as they absorb it whole within a roaring storm of hate, rage and fear. Sample lyric: "To heck with it all! To heck with this world! To heck with everything that you stand for!" Except that lead singer-rapper-extreme-screamer Corey uses another word in place of "to heck with."

 Take in loud, small doses.
