GREATEST HITS VIDEO COLLECTION 1991 - 2000
The Smashing Pumpkins
(Virgin / EMI)

Discs: 1.

The Main Course: No surprises here -- as expected, it's 20 Smashing Pumpkins videos, from 1991's Siva (off their independent first album Gish) to Everlasting Gaze and Try, Try, Try (from last year's swan song CD Machina / The Machines of God).

Side Dishes: Plenty of surprises here -- a live version of Ode to No One taped at their final show in Chicago last year; a short film called Try; studio footage from the recording of one of their final tracks, Untitled; and a plethora of outtakes, audio commentaries and documentary footage to go with nearly every clip.

Easter Eggs: If you want to see the Untitled video, you have to search around a little for it.

Final Verdict: You've likely seen all the videos on MuchMusic already. But the vast amount of extra footage and commentary tracks -- which can be mixed and matched in a myriad of combinations -- will keep you merrily clicking back and forth for hours. (More on: Smashing Pumpkins).
