Snoop Dogg, Blink 182 on the way
By MIKE BELL

The local gangsta and punk populations should be pleased with word that two more big-name acts will be making stops in our city.

Cowboys has confirmed rapper and hip hop impresario Snoop Dogg will perform at the bar on July 10 during ... um, Stampede week?

Tickets are $49.95 and on sale now from Ticketmaster and Cowboys, with a limited number (200) of early bird tickets being sold at the club for $39.95.

Expected to perform with Snoop are a host of guests, including Xzibit, The Dogg Pound, and Doggy's Angels.

In other concert news, punk pop act Blink 182's official website lists an Aug. 21 date for the Saddledome.

Though concert promoters would not confirm the date, they did say an announcement on the band's Canadian tour would be made in the next few days and that a mid-August show for Calgary was likely.

If that wasn't enough -- no, really; Snoop Dogg during the Stampede -- fab boy band (fab, as in fabricated) O-Town have just added a matinee show on July 14 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall to their tour schedule.

Tickets for that 3:30 p.m. concert go on sale Friday at Ticketmaster.

And finally, hard rock band Fear Factory will be performing at The Palace on July 23.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow at all Ticketmaster locations.
