It looks as if there will soon be a Beatle in our midst.
When Casino Rama announces its June shows on March 14 , it's expected that Fab Four drummer Ringo Starr will be a part of the lineup.
It's also expected that Starr will rehearse for his latest All-Starr trek at Casino Rama near Orillia, effectively launching the first show of his tour there.
Starr did so for his two previous North American tours and told The Sun last July if he did so again, that would be fine with him.
"I hope I am," Starr said. "We couldn't be better looked after anywhere else. It's really good. (Vice-President of Marketing Larry Gregson) and everybody up there, it's fabulous."
On Starr's own website, he talks about hitting the road again soon in support of his latest album, Choose Love, but doesn't release any other details.
However, over the last two "updates," Starr does hold up copies of a couple of Leon Russell early albums -- 1972's Carney (on which Ringo played) and Russell's 1970 self-titled disc -- so perhaps the legendary country-blues-gospel artist/session player is part of the latest All-Starr lineup?
Russell is coming to play Lee's Palace on March 9.
