For his fifth -- and reportedly final -- all-covers disc in a row, the 61-year-old rooster rasps his way through a slightly less offensive but equally soulless batch of rock oldies like CCR's Have You Ever Seen the Rain, The Pretenders' I'll Stand by You, John Waite's Missing You, Van Morrison's Crazy Love and Bonnie Tyler's It's a Heartache.
Yes, that's right -- Rod does a soundalike cover of a song by a Rod soundalike. If that isn't the definition of self-parody, what is?
Just give it a rest and write a freakin' song already, dude.
