Suede fans, brace yourselves. Come April 12, the band is releasing five new songs as their new nude/Columbia single 'Electricity' finally surfaces.
The single, available on import, will be comprised of two CDs, each hosting three tracks. CD1 features 'Electricity' and is backed by 'Popstar' and 'Killer'. CD2's track listing includes 'Electricity' and the b-sides 'See That Girl' and 'Waterloo'. The cassette will feature a demo version of the 'lost' Suede track 'Implement, Yeah!' - a track previously only available to the band's fan club.
'Electricity' is the first single from the band's upcoming Steve Osbourne produced album 'Head Music'. The first disc of new material since 1996, 'Head Music' is tentatively due in Canadian stores in June (it comes out in the UK May 3). None of the b-sides are slated for album inclusion.
For those who can't wait until April for new material, at 7 pm ET on March 1, the band will be performing an exclusive webcast from the final mixing sessions of 'Head Music'. The web cast will feature live studio footage, a live chat with the band and the first airing of new songs from Head Music - some of which will be downloadable.
