Veteran rockers AC/DC got a swift boot out of No. 1 on the charts this week -- and by a young country star, no less.
18-year-old Taylor Swift's second studio album "Fearless" rocketed to the top on sales of 27,000, according to figures compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.
This beats the No. 14 peak of her 2006 self-titled debut, and marks the first country album to reach the top spot since Garth Brooks' "Ultimate Hits" in November of 2007.
Swift also locked up No. 1 south of the border, selling a whopping 592,000 copies of "Fearless" in the U.S.
Back here, AC/DC's "Black Ice" (21,000) dropped to No. 2, but has now surpassed the 200,000 mark in sales since its release last month.
"MuchDance 2009" (13,200) had the second biggest entry of the week at No. 3, with Enya's "Winter Came" (13,100) hot on its tail, premiering at No. 4.
The "High School Musical 3" soundtrack and Celine Dion's "My Love: Essential Collection" both sank three notches to No. 5 and No. 6, respectively, and Pink's "Funhouse" came down one to No. 7.
Rounding out the top 10 was Sylvain Cossette's "70's Volume 2" at No. 8, the "Twilight" soundtrack at No. 9, and Andrea Bocelli's "Incanto" at No. 10.
Other notable debuts included Seal's "Soul" at No. 11, Christina Aguilera's "Keeps Gettin' Better: A Decade of Hits" at No. 12, David Archuleta's "David Archuleta" at No. 14, Serena Ryder's "Is It OK" at No. 22, T-Pain's "Thr33 Ringz" at No. 24, and "Country Heat 2009" at No. 48.
In the U.S., David Archuleta came in second, followed by "NOW 29" in third, T-Pain in fourth, and the "Twilight" OST in fifth.
