Timberlake returns to No. 1

Canadians love Justin Timberlake's "LoveSounds."

Justin Timberlake's latest disc "FutureSex/LoveSounds" once again caught the ear of Canadian record buyers, making a return trip to No. 1 on yet another slow sales week.

The CD reached the top with sales of just under 6,000, slightly ahead of last week's No. 1 album, the compilation "MuchDance 2007" (5,000), which went down to No. 2, according to Nielsen SoundScan data.

Nelly Furtado's "Loose" moved up one spot to No. 3, the Beatles' "LOVE" slipped one notch to No. 4, while Eminem's "The Re-Up" held steady at No. 5.

Gwen Stefani's "The Sweet Escape" occupied the No. 6 slot, Akon re-entered the top 10 at No. 7, and Il Divo's "Siempre" continued its slide down the charts, slipping one position to No. 8.

U2's "U218 Singles" moved from No. 8 to No. 9, and Fray's "How To Save a Life" hung onto No. 10.

In the U.S., the "Dreamgirls" soundtrack hit No. 1 (60,000), followed by Akon in second, Justin Timberlake in third, Daughtry's self-titled effort in fourth, and the Disney soundtrack "Jump In!" in fifth.
