The Hip staging high-tech show
By SUN STAFF

The Tragically Hip.

The are the same — but bigger.

Canadian rock icons The Tragically Hip are promoting their 12th CD We Are the Same by simulcasting an intimate live performance and interview session this Monday night in Cineplex Theatres.

George Stroumboulopoulos of The Hour will host the show, which will originate from the band's Bathouse Studio in Kingston, Ont. Fans will also be able to e-mail or text questions to the group during the event.

The live simulcast begins at 4 p.m. PST / 7 p.m. EST, with an encore screening three hours later.

Admission is $21.95, which also gets you a CD copy of We Are the Same, which is in stores the next day. Or you can save a buck and pay $20.95 if you don't want the CD.

For more information, go to www.cineplex.com/events.
