MAYBE MEMORIES
The Used
(Reprise/Warner)

Compilation albums are getting to be like autobiographies. They used to be reserved for older artists at the end of the career -- but lately it seems every youngster who gets a lucky break puts one out whether they deserve it or not.

The latest offenders are The Used, the Utah screamo-metal band led by Kelly Osbourne's grotty ex-boyfriend Bert McCracken. Now that their self-titled 2002 debut album has caught on -- thanks in no small part to Bert's televised dalliance with Ozzy's little girl -- the boys have heated up some leftovers to buy some time and keep their Q-rating up while they record a followup.

Hence this two-disc set, which has one CD of live recordings, old demos and leftovers, along with a DVD of documentary footage, interviews and music videos.

If you're a huge fan, you'll enjoy. If not, you might feel a little ... well, you know.
