The Used
Berth
(Reprise/Warner)
How many stinkin' live DVDs does a band need to make? Well, if that band is The Used, the answer is one per studio album.
After their self-titled 2002 debut made them overnight sensations, the Utah screamo boys cashed in with the CD/DVD set Maybe Memories, which had a live gig, some videos from their last album, interviews and a tour doc with the usual offstage tomfoolery.
Now, while they finish the followup to 2004's In Love and Death, Bert McCracken and co. are buying some time with the virtually identical CD/DVD set Berth, which includes -- you guessed it -- a 67-minute live concert from 2005, some videos from their last album, a comedic half-hour Q&A session and a 40-minute tour doc with the usual offstage tomfoolery (including Bert kissing a security guard and eating many boogers).
On the plus side, it has some footage of the band in the studio recording their third CD.
On the downside, we already know how they're going to follow up that disc.
