Artist: Wilco

Despite album uncertainty, Wilco hits the road
By PAUL CANTIN

While the fate of Wilco's new album remains uncertain, the band is pushing ahead with plans for a fall tour.

As previously reported, the acclaimed Chicago-based band has been at loggerheads with their U.S. label, Warner Bros.-controlled Reprise Records, over their upcoming album "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot."

The label had reportedly sent the album, originally scheduled for release this summer, back to the band, in the hope they would come up with something more compatible with commercial radio. The band refused, and was said to be seeking to leave Reprise and release the record through other means.

Since then, there has been no official word from either the label or the band about the record's future, although there have been suggestions the label was attempting to work it out so the group would remain with Reprise.

The band's official website (www.wilcoweb.com) does not include any Canadian dates in the tour listing. Here's the shows announced so far.

September 21 Gypsy Tea Room Dallas, TX

September 22 Stubb's Austin, TX

September 23 House of Blues New Orleans, LA

September 26 9:30 Washington DC

September 27 Town Hall New York, NY

September 29 The Electric Factory Philadelphia, PA

October 6 The Pageant St. Louis, MO
