Neil Young album due in Sept.
By -- Toronto Sun

Neil Young's new album, Prairie Wind, hits record stores Sept. 27.

The title harkens back to the Toronto-born singer-songwriter's early roots growing up in Winnipeg.

Young will be joined by special guest Emmylou Harris for two shows at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville Aug. 18 and 19 that will be filmed by Jonathan Demme, the same director behind the Talking Heads film, Stop Making Sense.

Young was the headliner most recently at the Live 8 Toronto concert last month in Barrie where he began his set with Four Strong Winds, aided by his wife Pegi. It was the first performance by Young since he was a no-show for the Junos in Winnipeg in April after surgery to repair a brain aneurysm.
