Porn stars, bootie shorts, and endless sexual energy make for a very interesting show.
You're never quite sure what to expect at a Peaches performance and her set last night at Coachella was a perfect example of why she’s gained this unpredictable reputation.
From start to finish the Toronto-born femme rocker wowed the crowd with a sexually charged and sometimes dangerous set that saw even the crowd stripping down by the end of it.
As one of the headliners on the second-largest stage, Peaches left nothing in her bag of tricks to grab the hearts of the crowd.
Wasting no time in setting the tone for the next hour, porn king Ron Jeremy stepped on stage to introduce "the lady he'd been waiting five years to meet." As he introduced "the one and only... Peaches," "Final Countdown" by 80's group Europe blared from the loudspeakers as Peaches and her crew hit the scene brandishing glowing swords and futuristic masks.
The mayhem got brought up a level - literally - as during the middle of the set she scaled the stage scaffolding, singing from about fifteen feet in the air. A few songs later she was down on the crowd, walking on them screaming "f**k the pain away," which is the chorus to the song of the same name.
Highlights include the songs "Rock Show," which saw her grab a stick and smash the symbols as the crowd batted around a bunch of oversized balloons, and the last track of the night "Shake Yer Dix."
The crowd was worked in to such a frenzy that most of the crowd – guys and girls - were pealing their clothes off and dancing around in very little – or in some cases nothing at all.
