Canadian producer David Foster, who has worked on debut albums by both Michael Buble and Josh Groban, said working with Amy Winehouse some day just isn't in the cards.
"I only like to go where I belong, and I'm not so sure Amy would think I was the right producer for her," Foster said. "But I love her talent, I like that song, I really like her album - but I don't think I'll be getting that call any time soon."
As for Winehouse's personal problems, Foster doesn't have much sympathy.
"Being Canadian, I always like to say that I was raised right, and I think it comes down to that. I think you're either raised right or you're not. I don't know her parents at all, but something went wrong somewhere, and I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for people that veer left when they should be going straight. I just don't. I say don't abuse the privilege, you worked hard to get here, people are embracing you, don't abuse the privilege. I don't know the details of it though and hopefully, she'll get back on track."
