Artist: Dawson City

Dawson City had humble beginnings and were an Ontario road band when they recorded their first demo in Toronto in 1979. In fact, the band had been broken up for months before band leader Randy Dawson submitted their tape to Q107 for their new Homegrown talent search contest. Dawson had his work cut out for him putting a new line-up together for their showcase concert at the El Mocambo in April, 1980 for the contest finalists.
