Formed in 1978 by acclaimed underground cartoonist Rick Trembles as a young teen, The Electric Vomit sprang up in Montreal as part of the first wave of Canadian punk. They managed gigs with The Viletones and other first wave acts passing through Quebec.

Though they were stifled by the lack of interest in the scene from labels, they managed to record some tracks in 1979, In 2008, the three tracks were released on a 7" single through Garbage Bag Records.

Soria would go on to join The Nils; Trembles went on to form American Devices
