Edmonton's Grace Under Pressure was founded in 1985 by British studio whiz Val Wilmott who brought singers Powell and Elder in for a recording session of some of his original material.

With the addition of Hoy and Pack, the studio project gained prominence for a radio contest winning song "Belli-To-Belli" in 1988. A single of the track was released on A & M Records later that year.

Van Wilmott continues to produce music for theatre in Edmonton.
