Formed in 1987 as Secret Affair, Gypsy Rose was the first act signed to Gene Simmons' short-lived Simmons Records [a label he would resurrect in the 1980s]. The debut album, Prey, in 1990 also featured noted Canadian sessions players Randy Cooke (drums), Rob Laidlaw (bass), Jerome Godboo (harmonica), Mike Shotten (backing vocals) and assists from co-producers Tom Treumuth and Gary Furniss.
