Joee came to the attention of the Canadian public by way of an independently released album called 'Truth' which spawned two hit singles - "If I Could" and "Do You Right". The video for "Do You Right" was immediately added into heavy rotation on MuchMusic and found itself in the Top 10 on Much's Top 30 video chart.
The indie album eventually sold 25,000 copies in Canada and attracted the attention of Universal Music Canada.
With a major label push behind him, Joee has released his first post-indie single "Arriba" as a prelude to his debut CD in 1999.
