The duo of Roman and Grey formed in 1982 and through a small indie label out of New York City hit #1 on the Italian charts with an EP they released in 1983. It wound up going Top-10 in nearly every country in Europe and ended up seeing chart action back in Montreal as an import.
With the indie label being extremely disorganized the band never got paid and accusations followed leaving the band without their gear or master tapes so a follow-up was never released as the duo tried to sort out their legal mess between New York, Toronto and Bermuda.
However, after some lengthy persistence and belief in their own material, the band was signed to a worldwide deal to Attic Records (distributed through A & M) in early 1988. Their debut album that year was 'Edge Of The Shadow' was produced by Canadian legend Terry Brown at Manta Sound.
