Talk about stars and the city.
Canadian celebs came out in Toronto last night for the gala presentation of the 2009 Canada's Walk of Fame inductees.
"To be included in this roster of distinguished Canadians, my name and my family name, its indescribable," very proud Canuck Kim Cattrall told the Sun as she made her way down the red carpet outside the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts.
The B.C. native and Sex And The City star was one of eight inductees for the 12th annual event.
Blue Rodeo, designers Dean and Dan Caten (Dsquared2), comedian Howie Mandel, children's author Robert Munsch, singer Tom Cochrane and athlete Chantal Petitclerc were all honoured after walking the red carpet rolled out along a closed-off University Ave.
Perry Mason star Raymond Burr was honoured posthumously with the Canadian Legends Award.
Singing legend Anne Murray hosted the gala which will be broadcast on Global TV and Slice tonight at 9 p.m. Murray also picked up her star on the walk that she was awarded 11 years ago.
Cattrall -- who is in the midst of filming the sequel to the movie based on her hit HBO show -- said she still makes it back to the Great White North for Christmas every year and tries to come back for the good weather in the summer.
"I'm very grateful to have grown up here," Cattrall said. "I miss Canadians, I miss my family, I miss my friends, I miss a way of life that is gentler in some ways than New York City can be."
Making his way through the red carpet giving polite fist bumps to fans and awaiting media, Deal or No Deal host Howie Mandel made it clear if the SUNshine Boy makes a comeback, he wants in.
"Can I be the SUNshine Boy?" Mandel asked the Sun. "I would like to be the first one back, can I?
"I like long walks on the beach. My hobbies are bowling."
Jokes aside, the comedian seriously appreciated the Walk of Fame honour.
"This is amazing, ultimately it means more to me than being honoured any other place," Mandel said. "I'm always a Canadian, I've never left Canada, I just go some place because I have to work there.
"I always feel like a Canadian, I'm very proud of my Canadian roots."
