American Idol runner-up David Archuleta’s parents filed for divorce in February - a month after the star's dad was arrested in a police raid on a massage parlor.
New legal documents, obtained by RadarOnline.com, reveal the Crush singer's dad, James Jeffrey, began divorce proceedings from wife Lupe Marie just three weeks after the scandal, citing irreconcilable differences for the reason behind the split.
The pair previously filed for divorce in 2002 but reconciled after David won U.S. TV talent contest Star Search 2 in 2003.
The couple, married for over 20 years, will share joint custody of David's three younger siblings.
Authorities caught James Jeffrey in their raid on a Midvale, Utah parlor in January, and he was later charged for soliciting a prostitute and ordered to pay a $582 fine.
