Chaz's sex change 'best decision'

Cher's former daughter Chaz Bono has no regrets about undergoing a sex-change - insisting it's "the best decision I've ever made".

The 40-year-old writer, born Chastity to the pop superstar and late singer/actor Sonny Bono, began the years-long transformation to become a man in March.

And Chaz, who came out as a lesbian in 1998, is already sure undergoing gender-reassignment surgery and hormone therapy was the right choice.

He tells ABC: "I've felt male as far back as I can remember... Life is short and life is precious. This is who I am. I need to finally be who I am."
