BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. - While Kiefer Sutherland says the 24 movie is slated to shoot next spring, his on-screen daughter Elisha Cuthbert isn’t so sure.

“(Sutherland) always says it when he’s got something coming out, have you ever noticed that?” Cuthbert said with a laugh. “He has a Broadway show, the movie’s coming. He has a new TV show, the movie’s coming. And he’s done it to me!

“I’m like, ‘We’re doing it.’ I saw him out at Paramount, we had a great conversation, he was like, ‘Get ready’ ... not doing it," she added. “But it’s okay, it’s okay. You know what? It will happen. The script’s there. He wants to do it. It just has to be the right timing, and it’ll be there, and the fans will be there, it’ll be all right.”

Cuthbert played Kim Bauer, daughter to Sutherland’s Jack Bauer, during 24’s TV run on Fox and Global. The movie has been rumoured for a long time, but now Sutherland is back on TV with Touch (Fox, Global) and Cuthbert is one of the stars of Happy Endings (ABC, Citytv).

“We were going to do (the 24 movie) last summer, we had everything geared up, we were really this close, and then (Sutherland) got (Touch) and he was busy,” Cuthbert said. “But he wants to do it. It’s just fitting it in. “I mean, it’s ultimately up to the big guy.”
