Bateman can't talk about 'Arrested'

Actor Jason Bateman has been banned from talking about the upcoming season of Arrested Development after previously leaking the hit comedy's storylines.

It was confirmed last year the Emmy Award-winning cult sitcom, which went off the air in 2006, would be back for 10 new episodes, and production on the project, starring Bateman, Michael Cera, and Ron Howard, began last month.

Excited Bateman has kept fans abreast of the show's progress via Twitter.com, but creator Mitch Hurwitz has since ordered him to keep his mouth shut to avoid ruining any more top-secret plots.

He tells New York Magazine, "Actually, I've been accidentally leaking (things). (Hurwitz) has been yelling at me because... well, I wanted to take a shot on the first day... and in that shot are a couple of cast members from a show Workaholics. And after I took that picture, like hours afterwards, I was talking to those actors and a kid came up asking for their autograph. And I said, 'Are you guys in a movie or a show or something?'

"And they were like, 'Yeah, we're in this show called Workaholics.' And I was like, 'Oh cool, I gotta see that.' And then of course... I'd already sent out the tweet, but I didn't put two and two together and a day later I saw that it was all over the (message) boards: 'Oh my god! The Workaholics are in it!' Mitch said, 'Hey man...' So I've stopped."

The comedy will air on internet streaming service Netflix next year.
