Pregnant Danes a 'trooper' on set

Claire Danes' co-star Morena Baccarin has branded the mother-to-be a "trooper" for continuing with gruelling filming commitments during her pregnancy.

The Romeo + Juliet star, who picked up an Emmy award on Sunday night for her portrayal of CIA officer Carrie Mathison in the series, is expecting her first child with husband Hugh Dancy, but is determined to carry on shooting the show despite the heavy workload.

Baccarin tells People.com, "She's a trooper. She has insane hours and really long days, and the work she's doing on the show is fairly emotional and heavy. But she's been really great. And she's been there for me so many times that I keep saying, 'I need to be there for you. What do you need?'"

In a separate interview with E! News, Danes adds, "We're in the midst of filming the second season, so we're still very much at it. I'm not putting my feet up any time soon."

However, leading man Damian Lewis admits he is worried about how his co-star will cope with tough action scenes they are about to shoot.

He says, "We're about to do an episode now where there's a lot of action for Carrie Mathison. She's going to be jumping off roofs and through alleyways and all that kind of stuff! I think (Danes) may be six months (pregnant) now, so I hope she's OK or else we're having that baby onset… Who's got the cold compresses? But she's amazing. Utterly committed to the show and to her role and I have to say I enjoy every minute on camera with her, I do. It's great."
