Vergara said no to breast reduction

Sofia Vergara. (WENN.COM)

Actress Sofia Vergara rejected her publicist's advice to get a breast reduction when she first moved to Hollywood because she didn't want to alter God's work.

The Modern Family star, who is a size 32F, routinely shows off her curvy figure in form-fitting outfits but the Colombian beauty admits her assets were not always a good thing, confessing her spokesperson once suggested she decrease her cup size in order to land more roles.

She tells U.S. TV host Katie Couric, "I'm very proud of my body and the way I look. I would be ungrateful to be saying, 'Oh, I'm so mad because people just look at me and see my pretty face.' I thank God for what he has given me and I take advantage of it...

"At the beginning it was hard, and she (my publicist) used to tell me, 'Maybe you should get to a more normal, standard size.'"

But the actress' proud Latin mother talked her out of it, telling the actress that most women were desperate to be just like her.

Vergara adds, "(My mom said), 'God is going to punish you, you can't chop your boobs out. It's crazy. All the women are risking their life (sic) to get boobs.' So I didn't do it."
