Marini to carry on after injury

Actor Gilles Marini has been given the go-ahead to continue his stint on the new season of America's ‘Dancing with the Stars’ after tearing his hamstring in rehearsals.

The ‘Sex and the City: The Movie’ hunk's pre-show rehearsals ended with a leg and back injury for the star, but he carried on through the pain to take part in the season debut of the show on Monday.

He told fans on Wednesday night he was preparing to seek further medical help, revealing on his Twitter.com page, "Heat and Ice! Doing this all evening! Tomorrow Hospital at 10 to assess the damage! Then, no matter what I'm practicing!"

Marini visited the hospital on Thursday, and was delighted when he was given the all-clear to carry on competing in the all-stars series of the dancing show.

He returned to the microblogging site after the appointment and told his followers, "Doctor said I will be able to do this. I'm happy. Just went through the routine 20 times and its going to be FANTASTIC! All good!"
