'Suburgatory' back for season 2
By Bill Harris, QMI Agency

Tessa just spent a summer in the city, although we can't confirm if the Lovin' Spoonful was anywhere in the vicinity or not.

Now it's back to the 'burbs. For Tessa, not the Lovin' Spoonful.

Played by Jane Levy, Tessa is the lead character in the sitcom Suburgatory, which returns for its second season, Wednesday, Oct. 17 on ABC and Citytv.

The general setup of Suburgatory is that Tessa's dad George (Jeremy Sisto) is a single parent who moved his family from Manhattan to a suburb called Chatswin, where Tessa pretty much is horrified by everything.

As season two begins with an episode called Homecoming, Tessa has just spent the summer back in Manhattan with her newfound grandmother, a.k.a., the mom of Tessa's AWOL mom. Tessa now knows her mother used to sing and play guitar, so Tessa takes it up, too, as she strives for a connection.

Is Tessa musically inclined? Do you believe in magic?
