Charlie Sheen: 'Men' is 'cursed'

Charlie Sheen has branded Two and A Half Men "cursed" after his former co-star Angus T. Jones publicly trashed the hit sitcom in a religious rant.

The 19 year old, who has played Sheen's onscreen nephew since the series launched in 2003, urged fans to quit watching his show's "filth" for their own good in a taped testimony for the Forerunner Christian Church.

Jones told how his Christian faith and Bible studies had led him to despise his job, insisting, "I'm on Two and a Half Men and I don't want to be on it."

The teenager has since apologized to his colleagues for the remarks, but Sheen, who was fired from the series in March last year, has likened Jones' tirade to the Heaven's Gate cult which believed the 1995 comet Hale-Bopp would save them from the end of the world.

He tells People.com, "With Angus' Hale-Bopp-like meltdown, it is radically clear to me that the show is cursed."

Sheen was sacked from the hit TV show after feuding with producers, and Hollywood actor Ashton Kutcher stepped in to fill the void.

He also took aim at his former boss Chuck Lorre. He tells TMZ.com, "Obviously, not having been there for some time, the Angus T. Jones that I knew and still love is not the same guy I saw on YouTube yesterday.

"I dare anyone to spend 10 years in the laugh-track that is Chuck Lorre's hive of oppression and not suffer some form of an emotional tsunami."
