Exec unfazed by Jones' rant

The president of CBS is unfazed by Angus T. Jones' rant against hit show Two and a Half Men, insisting his trash-talk is "a piece of cake" to deal with compared to former star Charlie Sheen's public battle with the creators.

The 19-year-old, who has portrayed Jon Cryer's onscreen son Jake Harper in the comedy since its 2003 launch, hit headlines last month after he labelled the series "filth" and pleaded with fans to quit watching in a taped testimony for the Forerunner Christian Church.

Jones' future on the show is unknown, but CBS president Les Moonves is taking the drama in his stride following Sheen's 2011 public feud with creator Chuck Lorre, which resulted in the actor's departure from the sitcom.

Moonves tells the Wall Street Journal. "I don't know what our status is with (Jones). We took this boy who started with us when he was eight years old, and it seemed to be what happens with child stars over the course of time.

"He's now making $300,000 per week, which is not a bad salary for a 19-year-old kid, and he went on a religious channel and urged people not to watch the show because it was filth. By the way, he's still collecting his $300,000 a week...

"I don't think it's quite been resolved, but after going through what we went through with Charlie Sheen, this is a piece of cake."
