Rimes rep denies laxative claim

Brandi Glanville says son ate LeAnn Rimes' laxative

A representative for Leann Rimes has shut down allegations the singer's stepson fell ill after ingesting her laxatives.

The stunning claims come from the boy's mother Brandi Glanville, who has been at odds with Rimes ever since the Blue hitmaker's affair with Eddie Cibrian broke up her marriage to the actor in 2009.

Their feud boiled up again earlier this week , when Glanville took aim at the country singer's parenting habits after spotting pictures of her sons, Mason and Jake, riding their bicycles without helmets on Twitter.com.

And now Glanville has accused Rimes of keeping potentially dangerous drugs around the house she shares with husband Cibrian after her 12 year old allegedly fell ill after swallowing pills he thought were candy.

In an interview with Us Weekly magazine, Glanville says, "Mason, my eldest, ate some of Le's candies and got extremely ill. And Le's candies are laxatives... Mason told me about it, and then Eddie's assistant, who was working for me at the time, also told me about it out of concern for my children.

"She has (a laxative) in every purse. Mason found one on the floor and thought it was a Skittle! They don't keep sugar in the house. He thought he finally found candy!"

But a spokesperson for Rimes, who has been dogged by eating disorder rumours for years, has since spoken out to set the record straight, insisting, "(It's) just more inaccuracies and half-truths."
