Plug in the tanning bed and fry up the pickles – a ‘Jersey Shore’ star has battled her way to the bottom and earned the title of most annoying celebrity under 32.
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, everyone’s favourite excuse to change the channel, managed to squeak out a win against Canadian teen idol Justin Bieber - but the margin was razor thin, right up until the last minute.
When voting ended at midnight on Thursday, Snooki held the lead by just 14 votes. Out of a total of 2330, the final tally was 1,172 for Snooki and 1,158 for Bieber.
If this were a U.S. federal election, we’d need a recount. But, hey, this isn’t Florida, and we’re not choosing the leader of the free world, thank goodness.
In the end, it all came down to talent, and in this round, even Bieber’s worst critics had to admit that he actually had some. This left Snooki on her own after last call.
