There always has been an authenticity to Flashpoint in this very important regard:
When the characters expressed love and support for each other, you actually believed it.
Hugh Dillon, who played Ed Lane, and Enrico Colantoni, who played Sgt. Gregory Parker, could be communicating over the walkie-talkie. Greg would say to Ed, "I got your back," which really doesn't look like much on paper. But on Flashpoint, even words as simple as those somehow carried emotional weight.
