Tasked with identifying my top 10 TV shows of 2012, I had a hard time narrowing it down. These lists are tricky to put together. I always feel a responsibility to balance my personal eye with my critical eye.
Meaning, I have shows that I watch for my own enjoyment that I know aren't good enough for a year-end top-10 list. And on the flip side, I definitely recognize the high quality of certain other shows, although if I were left to my own devices, they wouldn't be staples of my viewing rotation, due to simple genre preferences.
