ABC's traditional Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, airing for the first time since Clark's death, dominated the other networks on the final night of the year. A pre-show special honouring the late host also brought in solid ratings.

Kris Allen
Kris Allen -- you know, the guy who beat Adam Lambert on American Idol -- and his wife were in a head-on collision on New Year's Day, which left him with a broken arm. The story has a happy ending, though -- after the accident, Allen tweeted that his wife is expecting a baby.
