As a network executive was talking about upcoming story lines on the sitcom Hot in Cleveland, Betty White yelled out, "Elka's pregnant!"
Elka, of course, is the 90-year-old White's character in Hot in Cleveland. So, um, we'll assume she was kidding.
Pregnant or not, White and the rest of the Hot in Cleveland cast - Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick - will be back with new-to-Canada episodes, starting Tuesday on CTV. Hot in Cleveland originates on the cable channel TV Land in the U.S.
There will be another opportunity to see White on Tuesday, with the return of her hidden-camera prank show, Betty White's Off Their Rockers, on NBC and CTV. That's the one where seniors victimize whipper-snappers.
"All I do on the NBC show is the wraparounds (the bits preceding and following the pranks)," White said. "So I just do those as one-shots, and you'll do a whole flock in a couple of days.
