Welcome to the world of Bayou Billionaires, a reality TV show starring the Dowdens of Shreveport, Louisiana, a family recently enriched by the natural gas boom in America.

Kitten and Gerald Dowden are out promoting their new show, which premieres Friday on CMT. As mom and pop of the Dowden clan, they are the parents of four adult children and eight grandchildren who all live on their 80 acres near Shreveport. A handful of natural gas wells placed on their property over the last three years has brought the family massive wealth, and their version of living the American Dream has already made the program a huge ratings hit Stateside.
