Justin Bieber brought romance to the set of Saturday Night Live by handing out flowers to the audience and serenading actress Whoopi Golberg.
The Baby hitmaker took on the role of guest host for Saturday's episode and he acknowledged the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday by singing and giving out blooms to the crowd.
He also spotted Goldberg in the audience and pulled her onto the stage to serenade her. She then gave the teen a kiss on the cheek after she was handed a large bunch of red roses.
In another segment, Bieber appeared to joke about rumours he was recently caught on camera smoking marijuana after a picture showing him holding what looked like a joint emerged online last month.
Bieber addressed himself in the third person as he told the audience, "I also heard he (I) got busted for smoking weed. And he's really sorry about it, and people make mistakes, and he's never going to do it again."
Also during the show, Bieber appeared to make light of a poignant subject by referencing Whitney Houston's hit film The Bodyguard. Jason Sudeikis, playing Bieber's bodyguard, scooped the singer into his arms and carried him through a crowd of fans to the sound of Houston's track I Will Always Love You. The sketch took place on the same night as Clive Davis' 2013 pre-Grammy Awards party in Los Angeles - last year's bash was marred by Houston's death in the city just hours before she was due to make an appearance at the event.
