THE BRITISH ACADEMY FILM AWARDS

Yes, the BAFTAs happened last night (or yesterday afternoon from our side of the Greenwich line), but if you ignore the online spoilers, you can see a movie awards show the way it should be seen - edited down to a tight two hours. Lincoln had the lead in noms going in (though Spielberg was snubbed in the director category). I'm betting Argo kept its streak alive, though.

FASHION POLICE

And speaking of so-yesterday events, here are two things that are hard to reconcile: Joan Rivers, scanning for wardrobe malfunctions and general sartorial mistakes, and the Grammy folks' ban on women's dresses are "too revealing" in the butt and decolletage. CELEBRITY GHOST STORIES

In this episode, Mindy Cohn (The Facts Of Life), Valerie Harper (The Mary Tyler Moore Show), Matthew Gray Gubler (Criminal Minds) and Nicole Eggert (Baywatch) all encounter the ghosts of their careers. Okay, that was mean. They actually come face-to-face with real ghosts that follow direction and never miss their marks.
