'Zero Hour' doesn't add up
By Bill Harris, QMI Agency

Anthony Edwards in "Zero Hour."

Much of Zero Hour makes zero sense.

Debuting Thursday, Feb. 14 on ABC and Global, Zero Hour combines The Da Vinci Code, with the failed Ashley Judd series Missing, with a laundry list of TV casting cliches and ridiculously convenient plot developments.

The one-hour drama stars Anthony Edwards, best known to TV audiences for his long-running role on ER. Here Edwards plays Hank Galliston, the publisher of Modern Skeptic Magazine.

Hank is pre-programmed to think everything's a conspiracy. But when his wife Laila (Jacinda Barrett) is abducted from her antique-clock shop, Hank gets pulled into a mystery that stretches not only around the world, but back decades.

"I just said, 'If these guys are crazy enough to tell this story, I want to do it with them,' " Edwards said of his return to network TV.
