A woman accused of stalking Alec Baldwin spent St. Valentine's Day in court as a New York judge renewed a communications ban preventing her from contacting the actor and his family.
Canadian actress Genevieve Sabourin is alleged to have bombarded the 30 Rock star with emails, while making unwelcome visits to his Manhattan home after they enjoyed a night out together in 2010.
She was arrested last April on suspicion of harassment and stalking charges, and was held again in November when she was accused of violating an order of protection by reaching out to the actor and his wife Hilaria via Twitter.com.
The case returned to court on Thursday, when Sabourin and her attorney Rick Pasacreta had hoped to land a jail-free plea deal from prosecutors to resolve the legal troubles, reports the New York Daily News.
Instead, Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Ann Scherzer ordered the suspect to continue keeping her distance from the Baldwins, telling her, "You cannot send them a message on Facebook or any other form of social network. I'm talking any kind of communication device that exists on this planet."
Sabourin is due to return to court on 8 April - exactly one year after her initial arrest.
Baldwin now has extra reason to protect his family - his new wife Hilaria has confirmed the couple is expecting its first child.
