By that token, Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Mike & Molly) is arguably the most famous "creator" on the tube.
Just the blowback from Two and a Half Men alone made him famous. Constant diatribes by drug-crazed warlock Charlie Sheen kept Lorre in the news almost daily.
