Greg Proops, Colin Mochrie, Wayne Brady and Ryan Stiles in 'Whose Line is it Anyway?'
The game show “Whose Line is it Anyway?” has been revived by The CW.
Aisha Tyler has signed on as the host for the new edition of the series.
Comedians Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady and Colin Mochrie are returning for the new edition. Each episode will feature a guest comedian, who will join the trio in performing spontaneous improv games prompted by random ideas presented by Tyler and the studio audience.
The show will air as part of The CW’s summer schedule, with a premiere date to be announced at a later time.
Based on a British series of the same name, “Whose Line is it Anyway?” had an American edition, which ran on ABC from 1998 to 2004, and was hosted by Drew Carey. ABC Family subsequently ran unaired episodes of the series.
