NBC may be denying the rumors, but two "high-level" industry sources have told The Hollywood Reporter that the 2013-2014 may be Jay Leno’s last late-night talk show season.
It’s rumored that the network plans to move Jimmy Fallon into Leno’s renowned spot at 11:35 p.m as early as summer 2014.
Fallon’s current spot is after Leno at 12:30 a.m. His show has aired in this slot since 2009.
The move is said to be taking place due to Fallon winning over the younger audience.
"Jay wins overall, but on any given night, it's neck-and-neck in [the] 18-49 [age bracket]," said the source.
It's said the announcement is be coming in this May, however, the Leno camp is remaining mum regarding any changes to the show.
“We do not speculate on a rumour,” a Leno rep told the site.
Leno has been the host of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno since May, 1992. The 63-year-old comedian is currently signed through to 2014.
