Celeb 'Wife Swap' not pointless
By Steve Tilley, QMI Agency

Kate Gosselin and her brood (Handout photo)

Until a week ago, I lived in a beautiful, blissful bubble of ignorance. A bubble in which I was not aware there was a thing called Celebrity Wife Swap.

That bubble's now been burst, and things will never be the same.

For those who've been dwelling in the same oblivious cocoon, this ABC reality show kicked off its second season last week, and is a spin-off of the original Wife Swap, which itself is coming back on March 21.

Just in case you can't get enough televised spouse-trading in your TV schedule.

This week's episode stretches the definition of celebrity, as Coolio and Mark McGrath's better halves switch households. To say Coolio is best known for the song Gangsta's Paradise is a bit inaccurate, since that's pretty much the only thing he's known for. And McGrath was the frontman of the band Sugar Ray, whose only song I can recall is the one that goes, "Iiiiiiiiii just wanna fly."
