The new episode of Glee this week will feature the show's 500th musical performance.
So let's see ... the series is in the midst of its fourth season ... that's a total of 81 episodes, counting the one this week ... 500 divided by 81 ... gee, when I became a writer, I assumed there would be no math.
Okay, so a handy calculator tells me that, on average, Glee has produced more than six musical performances per episode. Can that be right?
That's a lot of singing and dancing, my friends. Too much, some might say.
The makers of Glee have chosen a version of Shout - in this case performed by New Directions - for performance No. 500.
I'm assuming the kids from Glee won't be as drunk as Bluto and the boys were when they were dancing and singing along with Shout - in that case performed by Otis Day and the Knights - in Animal House.
